A brief history of Orange broadband provider:
- Orange (formerly known as Freeserve and Wanadoo) was formed as a mobile phone company in 1994.
- The company was taken over by French Telecom, a major European Telecom company in 2001.
- Orange began to offer broadband service under the name 'Wanadoo' in 2004. Later, Wanadoo became Orange, in 2006.
- In the same year, Orange free broadband was launched for its LLU customers to follow the suit of TalkTalk broadband provider.
